Welcome to the web site of Cardiff and the Vale Beekeepers Association.
We are based in Cardiff but draw our members from Cardiff, Newport, Caerphilly, Pontypridd, Penarth, and Barry.
We are a friendly association of approximately 60 members, most of whom keep bees, promoting the craft of bee keeping and the benefits of the products within the hive, to the public.
We meet in Llandaff Village hall on the second Tuesday of every month from September to March and have meetings during the summer months at members’ apiary sites.
One of our more recent developments has been running courses for new bee keepers as an evening class. This is followed up with practical sessions at our training apiary in Caerphilly. Another course is planned from January to March 2010. Sorry but this course is now full.
We are also affiliated to the Welsh Bee Keepers Association.
Please take time to browse the web site and if you need any more information or are interested in keeping bees please e-mail one of the contacts that are given.
